Ian and I met in 2000. We didn’t know then it was destined to be but from the beginning we both knew there was something special! We started dating in 2001. Our first real date was a spontanious trip to Florida! In 2005 we were married on the beach at Lake Michigan. A typical Ian and Jamie style wedding, laid back and fun! We wouldnt have it any other way. 2007 brought us our new house in the country, and a lot of renovation and hard work. That brings us to 2008 where we added Ethan to the mix! Okay Okay, Ill use blogger.

So after trying to just use our family website as a blog, I've decided to come back over to blogger, it just works better for so many trying to access it and I like that people can leave us comments so I know when someone actually reads it! Please still continue to check out our family site for pictures and updates of whats going on with the family...but for now, this is where I blog.
(For everything else)

As we head into November, We realize what a great fall it has been. Though still too early for Ethan to enjoy the hiking, Ian and I had a great time with friends in Leelanau. We got a chance to just relax, hike, take in the colors, and even visit a couple of light houses.

A friend told me how great it is that Ian and I are still getting out and enjoying what we love, and just taking Ethan along for the ride. Ian and I are just looking at life the same way we did before we had Ethan, only now it’s more fun and more exciting. Instead of just seeking out adventures for ourselves, we are seeking out adventures for our family. Instead of just getting excited about something because I think it will be fun, I love to look at him staring at the trees with big eyes, taking it all in. Its amazing being a mom, absolutely amazing. I really wonder what he thinks as he discovers all of these things, and I can just see his little wheels turning!

In other news, we are still searching for daycare. My stress level has been high as I have had to deal with everything regarding this. When it comes down to it, its not about making friends, or having good relations with neighbors...its about Ethan and making sure he is in the best place possible during the day. When it comes down to it, all that matters is that little boy, and we are going to do everything we can to make sure he is happy.
