Our trip to the Dr.'s office...

It was a very short lived trip. We made it down the road about a half mile at most, and I got stuck, twice. Thankfully I was able to turn around and made it back to our driveway! So we decided to stay in. Ethan feels staying home with a good book is way better than getting shots :)

Merry Christmas Friends!

Merry Christmas to our Friends and Family!

This year has been just a wonderful year for Ian and I. We knew 2008 we would be blessed with having Ethan, but we didn't know just how much. We are having such a great time being parents, and are so happy for our little family. I realize now how much I've always wanted to be a mommy.
This year I have also grown in my faith. Since having Ethan, I have made more time to pray, go to church more often, and be thankful for the things in our lives. I only hope to continue to grow closer to God personally and as a family in 2009.

We hope those with heavy hearts will find peace, and we hope your season is a blessed one, full of hope, peace, laughter, Love and Family!

Merry Christmas,
Love, Ian, Jamie & Ethan

Christmas trees and coughs

So no one ever tells you what hard work it is to be a mom...but no one can ever quite explain how rewarding it is either. As I look at these pictures of my BIG little boy, I can't believe how fast 4 months have flown by. He has changed so much, and has such a personality now.
The other day he had his first, "mommy I miss you" moment and it melted my heart. Someone else was holding him, and he looked at Daddy, then at mommy and started to pout a little. I said "Hi baby" to him and his pout turned into an all out cry. It was the cutest and sadest thing I had ever seen. It instantly melted me. I scooped him up and kissed him and cuddled him and realized he knew his mommy! What a wonderful feeling!

We also ventured out and got our tree this weekend and Ethan ended up with a sad little cough and Daddy with a sore throat! :( We had so much fun bringing Ethan along this year though, it was great to share this family tradition together with our new little family!
