Christmas time!

December was a busy month for the Balls. There is always a lot going on but this month seemed to be especially busy. Nolan also decided it was a good time to start being a big boy! This month alone he started crawling, pulling himself up on almost everything, and eating table food! Being mobile means he follows Ethan EVERYWHERE. Poor Ethan moves from room to room, toys in hand saying, "No Nolan!". He doesn't know it will be this way for the rest of his life. I hope someday though, he learns to appreciate the love of his little brother wanting to be just like him.

Christmas week was busy busy. Wed. night thru Sunday we made three trips to Haslett. We had fun seeing our families and celebrating Christmas. This Christmas was especially fun seeing Ethan get all excited about presents, santa, and Baby Jesus. Ethan has a nativity that plays music, and he would push the little angel on top of it to play the song, and rock the little toy Baby Jesus, so precious! He also had a favorite song this year, "Little Drummer Boy". Ethan knows all the words and sings right a long in the car. Even now that Christmas is over, he asks me to play it in the car every day! I really don't mind as it's one of my favorite Christmas songs too, especially now! We tought Ethan all about Jesus, and the true meaning of Christmas, and he even got to have a birthday party for baby Jesus at church! He is also very good at singing Happy Birthday to Jesus!

Ian went all out and got me an amazing gift this year. He had framed and matted two large 20x30 photos of our boys. One of each of them from our newborn sessions. I love them so much and can't wait to display their tiny little faces for everyone to see!

Our decorations are down now for the most part, and the house is slowly getting back to normal. We had a wonderful Christmas season! I know next year will be just as fun with little Nolan digging into gifts and the Christmas fun as well! I am loving life with all of these boys, they make my heart overflow with joy and I am one lucky lady to have so many special guys in my life!

So a year and a half later and a lot has changed!

So the last post was really little Ethan learning how to walk? So things got busy...that was August. In September we learned we were pregnant with our second baby! Nolan was born in April and since then we've pretty much been surviving on coffee.
Having two Ball boys is wonderful. I don't know if I was just meant to be a mom, but these little guys light up my life every single day. I find so much joy in just being near them, watching them grow. It is amazing.
We have plans...big plans to travel, explore and to do lots of fun things together as our little family of 4. I really want to document these fun times, and I want to remember it well. That is why I ventured back here today. I am going to try and update more often. To share experiences of these days that are flying by! I hope you will join us and check in every so often!
